Why Crush?
A Vision for Lifelong Learning
Crush Home School is about reimagining education through an emphasis on learning as a practice that lasts a lifetime.
Inclusivity & Respect
Anyone can play a pivotal role in a young person's life, whether a biological parent, cousin, or neighbor. "Parent" as a verb is about the act of parenting, which anyone can do. Additionally, children are first and foremost people who, no matter their age, deserve respect, which you can show through active listening, keeping promises, asking questions, and admitting mistakes.
Crush Home School supports caregivers with home school resources to use in guiding the young people on a path of life long learning.
An Approach to Lifelong Learning
Crush Home School:
- Embeds learning as a practice in the lives of each child by offering accessible homeschool resources.
- Empowers caregivers through support and resources to instill the value of education and learning in their homes.
-
Provides resources that support holistic learning by being grounded in theory, practical, and reflective.
Achieving Lifelong Learning
Crush Home School provides practical resources to support caregivers in planning, executing, and reflecting on the learning experience in their home.

About the Minds (and the People) Behind Crush Home School
Lacy Fabian, PhD, is a research psychologist who is a lifelong learner dedicated to the process of learning. Whether creating or evaluating programs, her expertise lies with using rigorous methods to plan, execute, and reflect.
She has spent time teaching infant through preschool all the way through to instructing college students and serving as a mentor to graduate students and colleagues. With a child of her own who spent four years in Montessori before the pandemic upended education, she is now in her fifth year of homeschooling. The greatest lesson so far is to be open to all the different ways of learning because we are each our own people with varied strengths.
Jeff Fabian, JD, is a former lawyer and current professional writer. He has several years of first-hand experience with homeschooling, and he is a firm believer in the value of a well-managed home school education. He contributes his writing abilities to Crush Home School's free articles, resources, and exclusive monthly membership content.
